As a dually certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), I bring over a decade of experience in healthcare to the work I do today. My approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and grounded in both medical and psychological insight. Whether you’re looking for support with a specific issue or just feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to start, my role is to help you make sense of what you’re experiencing, and support you in building a path forward.

My Background: My path into this work began with a deep fascination for the human body and mind. While other kids looked away during surgical shows, I was drawn in, captivated by the complexity of healing. That early curiosity led me to a double major in Nursing and Psychology at the University of Rhode Island, laying the foundation for a career focused on both physical and mental well-being. I began my nursing career in acute care at RI Hospital before earning my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), graduating with honors and joining Sigma Theta Tau, the international nursing honor society. As a FNP, I spent seven formative years in a busy walk-in clinic, where I saw how often physical symptoms like chest pain or fatigue were rooted in emotional stress or trauma. That realization pushed me to dig deeper and ultimately led me to pursue certification as a PMHNP, shifting my focus more fully to mental health care.

My Approach: In our work together, you won’t be rushed. I take time to understand the full picture so that we can make treatment decisions together that feel right for you. I consider not just symptoms, but the full context of a person’s life - like sleep, appetite, movement, stress, relationships, and life circumstances - all of which deeply impact mental health. I also believe that not all emotional suffering needs to be pathologized. Sometimes, symptoms are a natural response to stress, loss, or change, and understanding that context can be just as important as any diagnosis.
Medications can be helpful and even life-changing when used thoughtfully, but I don’t see them as a stand-alone fix. I aim to create a collaborative, respectful space where you feel heard and empowered. If we’re discussing medication, I take time to explain options, listen to your concerns, and tailor care to your preferences and needs.

My Hobbies: Outside of work, you’ll usually find me outdoors hiking with my pup, Theo, skiing, or planning my next adventure. I’ve been fortunate enough to explore places like Thailand, Colombia, and Tanzania, and I find a lot of peace in nature and new experiences. I look forward to meeting you and learning more about your story. You don’t have to figure it all out alone.

I am a dual-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in Providence, Rhode Island. With over a decade of experience in healthcare, I help individuals navigate a range of emotional and psychological concerns with warmth, compassion, and evidence-based treatment. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens best in a space where clients feel safe, heard, and genuinely supported.
My Background: My nursing journey began after graduating with a BSN from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2014. I’ve worked in a range of clinical settings - from inpatient cardiac care and pediatric home care to several years in the emergency department. I later earned my MSN from the University of Rhode Island with a concentration in Family Practice, followed by a Post-Master’s certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I provided care in a specialty pain management practice and a community health center walk-in clinic. Although my primary focus in these roles was on physical health concerns, it became increasingly clear how often mental health challenges were intertwined with the issues patients were facing. These experiences deepened my appreciation for the connection between mind and body - and ultimately inspired me to pursue additional training and certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
My Approach: In my current practice, I provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management for a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, ADHD, and mood disorders. I am committed to evidence-based care, while also staying current with evolving approaches to mental health treatment. I have specialized knowledge in the use of ketamine for mental health conditions. While I do not prescribe or administer ketamine in this practice, I am happy to discuss it as an option and refer clients to trusted providers when appropriate.
I see medication as one tool among many, and I encourage clients to explore how emotional insight, self-reflection, and lifestyle factors can all play a role in growth and healing. My goal is to partner with you - to offer support, clarity, and practical strategies as you navigate your mental health journey.
My Hobbies: Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé and our dog, trying new restaurants (especially Italian!), reading, and traveling. I’m honored to be part of your care and welcome any questions as you explore whether this is the right fit for you.
